Domestic trade shows ramp up for H1, H2 2022

2022/01/21 | By 經濟日報

Trade event promoter Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is gearing up for multiple slots of expos this year, including those scheduled in late spring and early summer.

For instance, Taiwan's biggest computer expo COMPUTEX will be hosted in a hybrid capacity, with in-person events kicking off on May 24 to 27 at Taipei's Nangang Exhibition Center, while the virtual expo will last from May 24 to June 6. Event themes will cover Accelerating Intelligence, Innovative Computing, Connected X-Experience, Digital Resilience, Sustainability, and Innovations and Startups.

Many of the new features at this year's COMPUTEX reflect the trends that have become more commonplace in the "post-pandemic" era. For more flexibility in terms of attendance, TAITRA has incorporated four features to promote more digitalized opportunities, such as Tech Insights, Hybrid Displays, Matchmaking and Networking, and Hyper-Personalized Recommendations.

Featured brands attending this year's biggest computer and tech-related show include Acer, AMD, ASUS, Delta, GIGABYTE, Micron Technology, MSI, NVIDIA, NXP, and Supermicro.

In other news, TAITRA and Taiwan Food & Pharmaceutical Machinery Manufacturers' Association (TFPMA) are co-hosting the 2022 FoodTech Taipei and Bio/PharmaTech Taiwan at the Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 4th floor areas M and N, slated to kick off from June 22 to June 25. Both shows are part of the Food Taipei Mega Shows series.

Taiwan's food processing industry is on display through the island's biggest food show, whereas the Bio/PharmaTech Taiwan portion of the show presents a food processing industry 2.0 capability by incorporating smart features into this traditional sector. The bio/pharma leg of the food processing industry is expected to add significant value. TAITRA has opened registration for exhibitors at 886-2723-0036, or E-mail:tfpma.c18@msa.hinet.net.
