U.S. Biz Day to Kick off On Oct. 15 Virtually with 18 American Firms
2020/10/12 | By CENSAccording to Economic Daily News, the 2020 U.S. Business Day is slated to open this Thursday (Oct. 15), citing sources that a total of 18 buyers, including Amazon, will be attending the conference.
American firms with backgrounds in electronics, ICT, auto parts, rubber products, and textiles will be attending. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council primarily aggregated Taiwan's attending sellers. Due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, the conference will be held virtually and with in-person elements. Representatives from attending U.S. states have pre-recorded opening remarks to play during the opening ceremony, while Taiwanese and American firms will be conducting biz talks remotely.
After the opening ceremony, the American Institute in Taiwan will offer a presentation regarding the U.S.'s overall investment environment. Representatives from South Carolina, Florida, Wyoming, Ohio, Washington, Hawaii, and Louisiana will be presenting similarly.
