Liantec Systems Corporation focuses on designing and manufacturing the industrial x86-based computing platform, especially with small form factor (SFF) and low power consumption. Liantec has announced the TBM-1460 Tiny-Bus PCI Express based eSATA/SATA-ii 3Gbit/s extension module. The TBM-1460 is based on the embedded Tiny-Bus Extension Solution, is integrated with dual onboard silicon image x1 PCI express based eSATA/SATA-II host controllers, and offers four eSATA (external SATA) ports with 3Gbit/s of raw data transfer bandwidth.

The TBM-1460 also offers the internal STA-II 3Gbit/s ports with onboard silicon image SATA-II multiplier hub controller supports five SATA-II ports and hardware RAID level 0/1/10. The TBM-1460 supports optional four eSATA, or three eSATA with five SATA-II 3Gbit/s ports, and brings the server-class features of data storage to the industrial small form factor embedded computing applications that support the Tiny-Bus modular extension solution.

With the features of embedded Tiny-Bus modular extension solution, the TBM-1460 Tiny-Bus PCIe eSATA/SATA-II extension module can be installed on any EmBoard with PCIe-based Tiny-Bus interface, and still meet the mechanical design of the same form factor. For example, the ITA-6965 Mini-ITX EmBoard with TBM-1460 Tiny-Bus eSATA/SATA-Ii module features the additional eSATA and SATA-II 3Gbit/s multiplier with hardware RAID.
