Starting out as a maker of scissors as early as in 1950 in a cottage factory, Li-Jaou Scissors & Tool Mfg. Co., Ltd. has developed into a leading manufacturer in the line with operations in both sides of Taiwan Strait.

At the beginning years, Li-Jaou turned out only hand-made scissors and later on imported stainless steel sheets and advanced machinery from Japan. Thanks to the sophisticated equipment, the company has hence produced various kinds of high-end scissors in massive volume, which are mostly exported to Europe and the United States and some are marketed at home.

To meet the growing market demand, the company has in recent years expanded its operations to China and about two years ago built up a new plant at Zhongshan of Guangdong Province, in which houses a workforce of more than 100 persons.

Li-Jaou produces its products mainly on the OEM and ODM basis, in addition to developing own-brand items. To meet the market trend, the company usually unveils new items every three or four months. Today it offers a wide variety of scissors, including tailor scissors, dressmaking scissors, sewing scissors, stationery scissors, embroidery scissors, barber scissors, garden scissors, multi-purpose scissors, electronic scissors leather scissors and many more. Moreover, the company also generates such hardware items as shears, hand tools, garden tools and tool kits.
