In February 2012, Peugeot, France’s largest automaker, decided to end relations with Iran, its largest foreign customer. Peugeot’s auto sales this year are down nearly a quarter of a million units, almost exactly the amount that Iran would have normally purchased. This has also resulted in 8,000 job cuts across France to compensate for the billions of Euros they’ve lost.
