Brake Calipers

WP pro Calipers are manufactured using Forged Aluminium Alloy, (more than three times stronger than die-cast aluminium) and CNC machined from billet. The two halves of the body are retained using four bolts and two special steel securing pins for increased strength.
Designed for the reliability, durability and safety required for normal everyday road use. There are two types of caliper with either 6 or 8 stainless steel pistons depending on the application. Each piston has three Vitom seals, a pressure seal, secondary seal for added security and a dust seal. The dust seals are retained by an additional stainless steel plate for extra heat protection. Although the pressure seals are fully capable of fast road and occasional track day, some overheating and damage may a cure if used in full racing conditions. All calipers are pressure tested after assembly.
Because WP pro Brake Kits are designed to be used with the standard master cylinder, special attention has been paid to the size of the pistons. While giving an increased and more even pad pressure, plus protecting the pads from tapered wear, care has been taken to retain the normal pedal travel.
The pads are retained by an additional spring plate to provide a secure location and reduce pad rattle / noise.
Calipers are supplied in an option of five anodised colours, red, blue, silver, gold or gunmetal. Care should be taken when cleaning the wheels as some solutions may affect the quality of this finish. Winter road salt should also be wiped off regularly.
