Hwang Yu Automobile Parts Co. Ltd. of Taiwan, a leading supplier of steering, suspension and brake parts in the international automotive aftermarket (AM) with over 40 years of manufacturing experience, confirms its participation of the upcoming Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) 2015 to be held November 3-5 at the Sands Expo Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded in 1972, Hwang Yu Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. is a TS16949- and ISO 140001-certified company specializing in development and production of high-quality AM automotive steering, suspension and brake components. The company's products are marketed worldwide under its own brands "3 Star" and "Hwang Yu" that are popular with global customers. It supplies several major product categories, including ball joints, tie rod ends, rack ends, center links, with new product lines having been added in recent years, including control arms, brake calipers and stabilizers, etc.

Product Comprehensiveness

With continued and aggressive investment in new-product development, Huang Yu currently supplies more than 3,500 ball-joint and tie rod-end models (with 150 to 200 new items added every year); more than 60 brake caliper models (which the maker says are made on the same-class original equipment (OE)-caliper production lines to feature OE quality and reliability), and more than 800 stabilizers (in OE numbers). 

To meet increasing global demand and turn out diversified product lines, Hwang Yu inaugurated a new factory in early 2014, covering floor area of 2,700 square meters with 12 production lines. The modern and integrated facility has raised the firm's monthly production capacity to 900,000 pieces from 400,000, to further realize the maker's plan to gradually expand product lines. Having moved some of its existing production lines to the new factory to have expanded inventory space (which is the core advantage of an AM parts supplier in the international market), Hwang Yu claims that the lead time of 80-90 percent of its existing items can be shortened to only 21 days, compared to the average 45 days of the industry.

To better meet global customers' requirement for one-stop-sourcing, Hwang Yu has been aggressively developing new products. In conjunction with the continued expansion of its service team, the firm aims to offer the best-quality products and services, including convenient sourcing. The firm is also scheduled to pass the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) certification this year, which is expected to further accelerate delivery to customers in North America.

Advanced Labs

Hwang Yu has set up the most advanced laboratories with the latest testing/inspection equipment, including reverse-engineered scanning machine, so as to simulate real-world operating conditions within the strictest tolerances. The company stresses that all its steering and suspension products undergo torque, impact, salt spray, hardness, durability, and mud/water tests, with all its calipers also tested for salt spray, low/high-temperature, hardness, air-seal, and durability, etc.
