New lighting applications with LED solutions
2011/09/29 | By Ken Liu | AEON LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY INC.Aeon Lighting Technology Inc. (ALT), an affiliate of server computer giant Supermicro Computer Inc., has been active in developing new applications with LED solutions.?
The company has recently introduced LED candle bulbs for chandeliers embedded with Cree 3W XP-E and 3W XP-G warm white emitters, making it the world’s first LED lighting manufacturer to use the two Cree chips.
The Metis-codenamed candle bulbs have been well received in Southeast Asia by luxury hotels and jewelry stores. The bulbs deliver a 90 CRI and, thanks to unique lens designs, diffuse light at angle ranging from 180 to 270 degrees.
ALT also debuts a series of grow lights, with blue lights delivering 460-470 nanometers of light on a wavelength spectrum and red lights delivering 620-625nm. The lamps are available in high power and lower power specifications, with high power family rated at 35W and 70W while low power rated at 6W and 10W. Low power lamps come with E27 lamp screw.
The company’s another cutting-edge lamp is an E27 A5 bulb, a 60W incandescent equivalent. The bulb gives off 1,000 lumens of light at diffusion angle of either 180 degrees or 270 degrees, depending on specification. Chips from Cree and Lumileds Philips are built into the bulbs. The lamp is unique for its normal incandescent scale housing a transformer. (KL)
