Racing Dash Leads the Field in Optoelectronic Accessories
2009/10/06 | By Quincy Liang | RACING DASH ENTERPRISE LTD.Racing Dash Enterprise Ltd. has been working hard, ever since it was established in 1992, to take the lead in the international market by developing innovative auto and motorcycle accessories that incorporate the most advanced optoelectronics features.
One example of this global leadership is electro-luminescent (EL) glow gauges for automobiles and motorcycles, which Racing Dash commercialized back in 1995 (prior to that, such gauges had been used only in advanced aerospace applications). Over the years the company has developed more than 800 models of these gauges for popular Japanese, American, and European cars.
EL glow gauges continue to contribute a substantial portion of the company's revenue, thanks to unmatched advantages such as high design flexibility (in terms of color, character, logo, scale, shape, etc.), color rendition, illumination uniformity, and the magical ability to give old cars a brand-new visual feel.
After gaining a solid market foothold with its EL gauges, Racing Dash began to diversify into cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) headlight rims ("angel eyes") and other high-end exterior accessories for luxury cars.
Again, the firm pioneered the popularization of headlamp rims, which had previously been seen only on BMW models, by offering conversion kits for most popular car models.
Most of these conversion kits, and other Racing Dash products, are exported to the United States, Germany, Japan, and other advanced countries. This implies that the company's products can meet the highest quality standards for the most demanding markets.
"Racing Dash is always ahead of the market, and our products always create new waves in the global auto-accessory market," claims the company's president, Hans Chien.
The most recent achievement by Racing Dash is the development of replacement LED bulbs specially designed for BMW's "angel eyes." These bulbs transform the original amber-colored rims into high-brightness white-light rims, producing a more powerful eye-catching effect.
All of the company's products designed for BMW models can be used without affecting on-board computers, thanks to a special electric circuit design that does not use resistors and generates no ballast heat. This is a reflection of Racing Dash's unmatched development and design capabilities-which, according to president Chien, account for the firm's core competitiveness.
The company has also developed other innovative accessories for BMWs, including LED license-plate lamps and fender turn signals. These products, too, feature high-brightness white light and do not affect on-board computers.
Chien emphasizes that Racing Dash will continue to develop products that are more and more innovative by using its strong R&D capabilities and the powerful advantages of Taiwan's optoelectronics industry.
