Cheng Mei Machine Co., Ltd., founded in 1984, seeks to continuously upgrade its development and production of vacuum and pressure forming machines, automated punching machines, and semi-auto cutters.

The company notes it has established an in-house research and development department in charge of designing innovative machinery and accessories to meet the special demands of the food industry and other sectors for innovative product packaging.

In general, Cheng Mei offers standard models. To meet customers' special requirements, the company also develops special-purpose products with the strong support of its R&D unit.

In order to produce machines that feature high quality, low energy consumption, and high productivity, as well as easy operation and maintenance, the company makes use of computer aided design (CAD) methods to increase production efficiency.

A few years ago, Cheng Mei successfully developed a digital continuous air-pressuring/vacuum forming machine, which can be equipped with an automatic punching machine for in-line system operations. The machine features a programmable logic controller, a color touch-screen control operation interface, a rapid mold-changing device, and a P.I.D. (proportional, integral, derivative) temperature control system.

The company says the digital continuous air-pressing/vacuum forming machine is especially designed for producing a variety of industrial packaging materials, such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polylactide (PLA). It is also suitable for the production of food containers, disposable tableware, and industrial packaging.

Cheng Mei boasts that a number of its products are fitted with special patented mechanisms, such as the patented specific crank system with high hydraulic pressure for moulds that is installed in the company's digital continuous air-pressing/vacuum forming machines.

At present, Cheng Mei is capable of producing more than 50 machines per year, most of which are exported to overseas markets worldwide.
