Powered by two 9V alkaline batteries (with an AC adaptor as an option) and needing no cables, the device is easily mounted on walls, posts, and trees. It is entirely weatherproof and maintenance-free, making it perfect for use in gardens, yards, and other places to prevent intrusions of pigeons, starlings, sparrows, crows, blackbirds, and other birds. The flashing LED light has been tested for 100,000 hours of use.
