Multi-function wire-cut EDMs

Jiann Sheng Machinery & Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., founded in 1982, specializes in the development and production of electrical discharge machines (EDMs) and wire-cut EDMs. The firm uses 'JS' brand on its EDM product lines. Some production is made on the ODM (original design manufacturer) basis for both domestic and foreign manufacturers.

The company won ISO-9002 and CE mark approvals in 1997, clearly demonstrating its capability in terms of both product quality and corporate management. In addition, the company's products have been granted the 'It's Very Well Made In Taiwan' award by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

With strong development capability and expertise in high-precision EDMs, Jiann Sheng has a very wide range of product lines, including conventional EDMs, computerized numerically controlled (CNC) EDMs, wire-cut EDMs, and drilling EDMs. Unit price of the company's product lines ranges between US$15,000 and US$78,000.

Andy Liang, general manager of the company, says his company is one of the island's few domestic manufacturers capable of producing a complete range of EDMs.

It can develop high-performance EDMs to cope with the need of the 3C (consumer electronics, communications, computer) sectors.

The company's CNC-EA700L EDM features 900 x 600mm in work table dimension and 1400 x 800 x 500mm in work tank measurement. Spindle travel reaches 300mm and available loading weight of electrode reaches 200 kilograms.

Its W-A50-series wire-cut EDM adopts C1-class precision ballscrews and linear guideways driven by AC servomotor to ensure high accuracy in positioning. The W-A35 series has option of automated threading mechanism to enhance its automation function.

With globally renowned quality and price competitiveness, Jiann Sheng's EDMs are widely welcomed by many specialized manufacturers in various industries. Its major export outlets are mainland China, South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, German, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Britain, Australia, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand.

The company will showcase innovative products at the L1122 booth of the 2009 Taipei International Machine Tool Show slated for March 2-7. (BS)
