With over two decades of manufacturing experience, Yow Chern Co., Ltd., founded in 1989 in Kaohsiung County, southern Taiwan, has grown into one of Taiwan's leading manufacturers of screws.

The firm now supplies a wide variety of screw products, including bolts and nuts, common-use screws, window building screws, aster thread screws, etc., at a monthly capacity of 10 million tons. The company uses materials supplied by China Steel Corporation, Taiwan's largest integrated producer of steel products.

To ensure the quality of its products, the company employs composite cold-forging six-section screw-making machines, making it able to produce specific cold-forging screws. The company says it has adopted the EESY-2-FORM cold-forging software system developed by a Germany well-established software firm to escalate the skill in manufacturing high-end cold-forging products.

Yow Chern's products have won such international certifications as TS16949 and TAF. With special design, the company's aster thread screws are patented in Taiwan, mainland China, the U.S. and European Union nations. The company's aster thread screws are suitable for use in woodworking, furniture and construction industries.

Over the past few years, the company has seen influx of orders from abroad. With annual sales enjoying a 15% annual growth to reach US$25 million last year, the company anticipates further sales growth in the years to come.
